House of finance Advisory services Ltd T/A House of Finance is committed to protecting your privacy. We wish to be transparent on how we process your data and show you that we are accountable with the GDPR in relation to not only processing your data but ensuring your rights as a client.
It is the intention of this privacy statement to explain to you the information practices of House of Finance in relation to the information we collect about you.
For the purposes of the GDPR the Data controller is House of Finance Advisory Services T/a House of Finance, Unit A7 M4 Business Park, Maynooth Road Celbridge, Co Kildare.

Purpose for Processing Your Data:

Financial Advice / Planning.
Based on an in-depth fact-finding exercise or a more specific needs analysis (certain Transactions). Your information will be used to correctly match your requirements to the most suitable product provider using a fair or limited analysis of the market.
The information gathered will be used to produce a recommendation and when it is agreed we progress this recommendation, all relevant information will be used to complete the appropriate application, this can include information of a personal nature such as medical/family issues and we will only use and keep information that is required or is required to be held under CPC agreement will be sought at outset that you the client are aware and are happy with what we will be doing with your data.

Why Are We Processing Your Data?

For us to provide you with appropriate and fully researched financial advice and recommendations we need to collect personal data for the assessment of risk and suitability of the financial advice we provide to you.
We need to process your data as this is necessary in relation to a contract of insurance to which you the client has entered into or because you the client has asked for something to be done so you can enter into a contract (write to previous providers /request transfers).
In any event we are committed to ensuring that the information we collect, and use is appropriate for this purpose and does not constitute an invasion of privacy.

How Will House of Finance Use the Data It Collects About Me?

We will process (collect Store & use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it longer than necessary.

Special Categories of Personal Data:
If we collect any special categories of data (e.g. health, religious beliefs racial, ethnic origin – Financial information is not classified as a special category of personal data).
We will obtain your explicit consent to gather special category information and ensure it is treated correctly and sensitively.

Who Are We Sharing Your Data With?
We will pass your personal data to the providers of Life Investment and Pensions with whom we have certified agency arrangements.
Any of the providers with whom we have certified agency agreements are obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only to fulfil the service they will provide on your behalf.
When they no longer need your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details in line with correct procedures.
If we wish to pass your sensitive personal data onto a third party, we will only do so once we have obtained your explicit consent unless we are legally required to do otherwise.

Third Parties to Whom We Pass Your Data To:
Aviva, Royal London New Ireland, Irish Life, Zurich, Friends First. Davy’s Cantor Fitzgerald, ITC Merrion, Brokers Solutions, BCP, Harcourt (Phoenix).
We have issued all our third-party processors with a data processor checklist asking them GDPR specific questions.
If for any reason we transfer data to a third party outside the EU, we as the Data Controller will ensure the recipient has provided the appropriate safeguards and on condition that enforceable data subjects rights and effective legal remedies for you the data subject are available.

Data Subjects Rights:
House of Finance facilitate your (our clients) rights in line with our Data Protection Policy and the data subject access request procedure, this is available on request.
At any point while we are in possession of or are processing your personal data, you the data subject have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. Right of Rectification: You have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate. Right to be Forgotten: In certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold on you be erased from our records.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing: Where certain conditions apply to have a right to restrict processing.
  • Right of Portability: You have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.
  • Right to Object: You have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing. Right to Object to Automatic Processing: Including Profiling
  • Right to Judicial Review: In the event House of Finance refuses your request under rights of access we will provide you with a reason to why.

All the above requests will be forwarded on should there be a third-party involved as we have indicated in the processing of your personal data.
Additional Information: We are providing you to ensure we are transparent and fair with our processing.
Retention of Your Personal Data: Data will not be held for longer than necessary for the purpose(s) for which they were obtained, House of Finance will process personal data in accordance with our retention schedule. This retention schedule has been governed by our regulatory Body CBOI and our governance.

Complaints:
In the event you wish to make a complaint about how your personal data is being processed by House of Finance or how your complaint has been handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the supervisory authority and House of Finance’s data protection representative’s Data Protection Officer or GDPR owner.
If we are collecting your data for a contract and you cannot provide this data, the consequences of this could mean the contract cannot be completed or the details are incorrect.

Profiling:
If automatic profiling is carried out the data subject needs to be informed to allow them object to this.
House of Finance use these for risk profiling (Esme ratings) and establishing affordability regarding quotations for financial services.

Additional Processing:
If we intend to further process your personal data for a purpose other than for which the data was collected, we will provide this information prior to processing this data.
